Dovecote Bookshop
Since Dovecote opened in 1996 the bookshop has provided a resource for the purchase of Christian books and other materials.
It was opened in 1996 by Fiona Castle and is a great example of the local Christians working together. After two moves, its home is now in the former entrance area of Epsom Methodist Church near the town centre.
Open 6 days each week, the shop sells books for all age groups, Bibles, cards, CDs, DVDs, and many varied gift items. It is almost entirely staffed by volunteers from local churches.
Books for Churches, known full-time Christian workers and bona fide students, who show a valid Students' Union card, are discounted by 10%.
Dovecote believes it offers a valuable and much needed service to the Christian community in Epsom and the surrounding district, but the project can only survive with help and support from church members from across the area.
